What this checks, and what it does not
What it checks
Every pair of billed codes against the NCCI procedure-to-procedure edits we hold, and every code against its medically unlikely edit, for the CMS edit quarter your date of service falls in. Each verdict shows the governing rule, the remedy, and a citation with its confidence.
What it does not check
Our NCCI PTP and MUE files are curated subsets of the full CMS files (40,009 PTP pairs and 15,162 MUE values currently loaded). A code or pair we do not hold renders as Not checked, never as a pass. Absence of a finding is not confirmation the claim is clean under CMS's full file.
DenialPath provides billing and administrative guidance based on published CMS and X12 sources. It is not medical advice, not a coverage determination, and not a guarantee of payment. NCCI and MUE edits are republished quarterly and payer policies vary by contract. Always confirm against the payer's own current policy before submitting or appealing.
